Exactly a year ago yesterday, we left Neah Bay aboard our sailboat, Mosaic, and headed west out the mouth of the Strait of Juan de Fuca and started south down the west coast of the USA. This has been, undoubtedly, the most adventurous year of our lives!

By early November, we had reached Mexico and we’ve spent the past 9 months cruising Mexican waters We’ve traveled down the outside of the Baja Peninsula, across the mouth of the Sea of Cortez to the mainland and south along the Pacific Mexico coast as far as Manzanillo. From there, we turned back North again and journeyed up to Mazatlan, back across the Sea of Cortez to La Paz, and then north all the way up the inside of the Baja Peninsula to haul out in Puerto Penasco late last month.

We’ve learned so much, seen such amazing things, and experienced so many bucket-list items… Looking back at it and reliving the experiences through these photos today, it blows my mind to think of all we’ve accomplished.

We’re currently back in the Pacific Northwest visiting family and friends for a month or two. We’re not entirely sure what our next chapter holds, and that’s ok. There are about a million factors in play for our consideration, and we’ve got exciting options to explore so only time will tell…
