Toward the end of June, we spent a week in a sweet anchorage called Santo Domingo at the mouth of Bahia Concepcion about halfway up the inside of Baja California in the Sea of Cortez.
At one point during our stay in Santo Domingo, we picked up anchor along with about six other boats and we headed across the bay to anchor in front of the town of Mulege for a grocery run. I wrote about that little ‘adventure’ in a previous article for Vancouver Family Magazine – check that blog post out here.
We had a great time in Santo Domingo hanging out with several boats of our established kid group: Captain Musick, Nike, Meraki, Arkuda, and more. We even spent Father’s Day here. It was a gorgeous spot and the water temps were reaching into the low 80s so we were swimming daily. Life was good in Santo Domingo.
