After splashing Mosaic at the Guaymas boat yard, we stayed at Marina Fonatur Guaymas for about a week while we finished getting the boat ready to get back out to anchor. We had Brenden’s dad with us for a visit.
We left the marina on Sunday the 26th and motored for an hour or so just to get around the corner to Bahia Catalina where we could drop the anchor and relax for a few days.
We ended up staying for 3 nights and really enjoyed our time in Bahia Catalina. It was peaceful and relaxing – exactly what we needed after a literal month of non-stop travel and work to get the boat ready.
When we took the dinghy ashore, we were welcomed by a lovely beach to walk on and interesting places to explore just back from the beach a bit – a salt flat area and lots of tracks from the local wildlife along a slight depression that seemed a likely source of a bit of fresh water. Kali won the day when she found an amazing geode right along the water’s edge!
