After spending a week with amazing new friends in Isla Partida for Christmas, we headed down to La Paz for a quick supply run and then started our Spring Migration to head south south south to the very southern border of Mexico before Hurricane Season.
With more than 1500 miles to travel from January to April, we had to get a move on. Still, we took the time to stop in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle to meet our new friends on SV Agora for the first time in person! We stayed in La Cruz for about three weeks before continuing south to meet up with SV Nike in Barra de Navidad.
We bounced back and forth between Barra de Navidad and our favorite Mexican Pacific Coast anchorage of Tenacatita for about a month. We LOVE that stretch of the gold coast. We were in Barra for Saint Patrick’s Day and took a taxi to the nearby town of San Patricio for their BIG holiday celebration.
After taking our time and getting in our golden cruising of the season, it was time to jet south with Agora and Mapache to reach Puerto Chiapas before May when hurricane season could ramp up.
